What is the Sproochentest?
The Sproochentest is the official Luxembourgish language exam required for Luxembourg citizenship. It is administered by the Institut national des langues Luxembourg (INLL) and consists of two oral parts.
Oral Expression — A2 Level
A 10-minute face-to-face interview with an examiner. You choose an everyday topic (work, family, hobbies) and describe an image. No written skills required.
Listening Comprehension — B1 Level
25 minutes on a tablet. You listen to three audio recordings (radio bulletin, dialogue) played twice each, then answer multiple-choice questions.
Pass Criteria
You must score at least 50% on the oral expression part to pass. The overall pass rate is around 70%.
